Each year Breyer Horses (breyerhorses.com) holds BreyerFest at the Kentucky Hose Park in Lexington. A big part of the activities is horse demonstrations by many different breeds and disciplines. As owners of a rare breed (the Cleveland Bay) we are often asked to do demonstrations for the public to promote the breed, and for several years now we've often made the 13 hour trek from LA to KY to do so at Breyerfest. This year however was different in that our CBs were not able to make the trip, but not to worry as another CB owner came to the rescue. Thanks to Rick and Donna McDowell who brought Gracie for Michelle to ride while Donna rode Maiden. We normally have several more CBs in the demonstration, but unfortunately it was only these two this year. Maiden is a thoroughbred cross and Gracie is a percheron cross. Enjoy the photos.
