Several years back Michelle and Gretchen Morgan started an effort to develop a Cross Country Course at BREC's Farr Horse Park. Working with Captain Mark Philips on the design and with a grant from the state things were set in motion. The course was completed about a year ago, long after both Gretchen and Michelle left BREC... but the fruit of their planning is finally here.

We took every able bodied horse and most of our riders out to the course for schooling today, those who didn't jump took advantage of the wide open spaces and pretty calm temperatures for a leisurely trail ride. The course still has some minor work to be done... but as you can see from the pictures the jumps and layout are very well designed and executed.
